How do I remove a name from my chat contact list?
I get so many chat boxes popping up when I sign-in to check mail. I don’t want others to see me when I sign-on and truthfully, I don’t want to see them. How do I remove the names so that I don’t have to see their online status, nor make mine known?
First right click on their icon, scroll down to stealth settings and change them so that you appear permanently offline. Then click on messenger, top left on the messenger window , scroll down to preferences, click and scroll down to ignore list, click and in the next window add them to your ignore list and click o.k. Then go back right click on their icon and delete them. This way they are history. you can also:Click messenger top left in the window, scroll down and click privacy. Check always sign in as invisible click o.k.
