Mailing List Template For Word

How do I add field to MS Word XP doc listing Top Lvl contents of a directory or drive with names & size in KB

How do I add a field to an MS Word document that will list the contents of a directory or drive? I thought that a mail merge MIGHT work with a text file created through a Dir piped to a text file, but I want file / folder size and name only.

Microsoft Office XP SP3 -
Microsoft Word 2002 (10.6764.6735) SP3
Windows 2000 SP 4
I have created a label template for monthly log backups at work. I am not permitted to install software. (That would be too easy!) I wish to insert a field that will provide me a top level list (folders and files) from my DVD Drive. Hyper-linking does not work. I am not competent in scripting.

I seek a solution, either as a script to run within word, or advice concerning what field categories / formulae / options to use, and how to utilize them.
The DVD drive is D: and a typical directory I wish to insert is four folders and one file, name and size in KB.

Thank you in advance.

Because Yahoo! Answers scrambles code, I put some example code into my 360 blog, at the link below.

Of course, the first time I cut and pasted the code into the blog, it got ALL scrambled up. I have since repaired it, and this time I CHECKED it. Sorry!

The corrected code is at the link below.
