Mailing List Through Gmail
Are Gchat and Gmail chat the same thing?
I have an e-mail account with Gmail, and I added the account to my iChat so that I could use the Gmail instant messenger through iChat. Now when I log into iChat, my AIM list appears in one window and my Gmail (it says “Jabber”) list appears in another.
Somebody asked me the other day if I had “Gchat” and I wasn’t sure what that meant. Does Gchat refer to the IM capabilities of a Gmail account?
I tried to google this and found something called Gtalk that looks like a completely different IM service altogether.
I’m confused. Do I have Gchat?
Google Talk is an IM client which, when you’re logged in will let you know of incoming e-mails too.
