Seeking employment in Las Vegas?
Is it just me or is it becoming really difficult to find employment here. I have a computer science degree and I applied to sites such as career builder and many known employment sites and hardly anybody call me to set up an interview or most that calls me are sales related job and I had about 5 companies that called me that said i’m on their list to call for sales related jobs and my information became sold to job search sites which made me really angry. I thought they were suppose to assist me find employment and not sell my information to other 3rd party to spam me constantly. I get so many spam and junk mails from these job search sites and even though i opted out of them they keep sending me more of them. Anybody that is struggling here or has any information on how to seek employment or any professional recruitment firm can you suggest to me any?

You have to deal with the spam and crap. Then just keep working on your goal. This is a very difficult economy and I have a degree and lots of experience. I did resign myself to take a lower paying job and it is sales. So I will bust my but to make some extra money. I do keep posting resumes and maybe in one year things will turn around.
For now you have to do what I am doing, suck it up and just take what you can. Keep good attendance get good reviews and then when opportunity strikes, you will be in a position to get a better job with higher wages. Check the newspaper too, that is a good site. And this is work, but go to the web pages of companies you want to work for and start filling out on line applications
