How do I make address labels from my Microsoft Works Address Book?

I have a bunch of addresses that I need to enter into some sort of excel spreadsheet or address book, and then somehow be able to print them onto labels. and not only print them onto to labels, but to be able to sort them at any time, like sort by last name so i can find someone who wants to be taken off the mailing list or to sort them by zip code for sorting when preparing to mail out. Please help.

Save the address book as a text file.
Use Excel and open the text file.
Change the font to Courier.
Use Data, Text to Columns to parse the address data.
Follow Help to create a Mail Merge document.

From that you can create labels and sort the data however you want. If I were standing next to you, it would be a snap.
