Is this an example of a scam on Craigslist?
I was looking for a rental property on Craigslist. More ads respondents, but two responses I received from "owners" that made me think they were trying to scam me. No address on Craigslist and always respond with a "good" reason not to. It will link in the email that supposedly links to a website where they want to fill in the information so they can get a credit report on me. An e-mail said that the credit report will be sent directly to the owner, can I send demand lease. The other "owner" said that after the filling of credit, the site automatically take me to rental application. I was born in the morning, but it was this morning. Is this effect common scams on craigslist when someone tries to steal Social Security numbers? Thank you for any help you can give.
