I’m buying a domain name & web hosting but I don’t know what some of these things mean?
For things they’re telling me they’re going to give me they say I get:

What are those things?
(I’m setting up a celebrity gossip site, & I don’t understand these things.)

All of these are different features provided by the web host. Most of the objects in the list are different programming languages that are allowed to execute on the server(python, ruby, etc). Others are database related like the MySql. There are also a lot of general website options listed like security, email, statistics.
If you aren’t the person who is physically creating the site then it would be a good idea to sit down with the coder and discuss the hosting needs before going ahead and selecting a host. If you ARE the person creating the site then you will need to do a bit more studying on how to program your website to be an interactive, database-driven website.
